My Account: the key to successfully going paperless

Going paperless has started within organizations, whether private or public. Retraite Québec has joined this trend by increasing its efforts to always offer simpler, more effective and accessible online services. Therefore, Retraite Québec is constantly improving My Account's personalized space to meet the needs of clients who are ready to switch to digital when interacting with the Gouvernement du Québec. In that regard, a survey conducted in 2021 revealed that 61.5% of respondents consulted My Account when taking steps with Retraite Québec.

My Account: a safe space to access all your updated information

Are you contributing to the Québec Pension Plan (QPP) or are you a beneficiary of the QPP? Are you a member of a public-sector pension plan or are you receiving benefits? Are you a parent receiving Family Allowance payments? It is to your advantage to use My Account to:

  • consult your information and documents, safely and at any time
  • keep abreast of the changes made to your file
  • file your applications online and follow the different processing steps by receiving notifications
  • carry out calculations using financial retirement planning tools, like CompuPension.

My Account in a few examples

Your membership under the Québec Pension Plan

If you are working and contributing to the Québec Pension Plan (QPP), you can consult My Account to access, whenever you want, the most recent information concerning your membership. There, you will find an estimate of the benefits that could be paid to you or your family when you retire or in the event of death or disability. That valuable information will help you to properly plan your retirement.

If you are contributing to the QPP and are age 48 or over, your Statement of Participation will be mailed to you every four years. But why wait? In My Account, you can consult your updated information regarding your plan membership at any time.

Your membership under a public-sector pension plan

If you are working in the public sector, you can consult your Statement of Participation in My Account. The document has:

  • personalized retirement scenarios that are based on your age when you retire and on your years of service
  • your years of service as well as your contributions and interest accrued under your plan
  • your rights and benefits, such as your days of absence that can be bought back, if applicable.

Consult your statement now! It will help you plan the retirement projects that are important to you.

Your benefits related to a public-sector pension plan

If you are a beneficiary of a public-sector pension plan, you will find the Your Pension statement in My Account. The document shows the amount of your pension and the calculation of its indexation.

In addition, My Account is a safe space to consult the information regarding your payments. As of March 2023, every month, you will be able to see the breakdown of your monthly payments. However, the last annual statement of deposit, as you know it, will be uploaded to My Account in January 2023.
