Family Allowance: see your amounts in My Account
Are you receiving Family Allowance? Did you know that your allowance is recalculated in May of each year, based on your family income? Consult your personalized space in My Account now to see the amounts that will be paid to you from July 2023 to June 2024.
While you are consulting My Account, take the time to choose the 100% digital option as your communication preference. Thanks to notifications, you will automatically know when a new document, such as the annual notice concerning your Family Allowance amounts, is available. It is convenient, safe and reassuring!
Next Family Allowance payment
Please note that you will receive your next Family Allowance payment on Tuesday, 4 July, due to financial institutions being closed on Monday, 3 July. If you have a child aged 4 to 16 as at 30 September 2023, we will pay you the Supplement for the Purchase of School Supplies at the same time.
Family Allowance is paid 4 times a year, that is, in January, April, July and October, on the scheduled payment dates.
If you would like to receive your payments on a monthly basis, you can file a Change in Frequency of Family Allowance Payments form.
Calculation of the amount
The amount of Family Allowance varies from one family to another. It is calculated every year based on:
- your family income, that is, the combined incomes of you and your spouse, if any;
- the number of dependent children under the age of 18 who live with you;
- your conjugal status (with or without a spouse).
- the number of children in shared custody.
