The draft Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting supplemental pension plans (French only) was published on 28 May 2025 in the Gazette officielle du Québec.
It provides:
- to set out provisions that regulate the setting up of variable payment life pension funds in a pension plan and pensions paid into such funds;
- to amend certain fees payable to Retraite Québec, including fees to locate untraceable persons, which have increased from $20 to $30.

Any person wishing to comment on the draft Regulation is requested to submit written comments before 12 July 2025, to the address indicated on the notice of publication of the draft Regulation.

Once the Regulation is approved, it will be published again in the Gazette officielle du Québec. It will then confirm the applicable rules and their dates of coming into force.
