Given our many years of experience inadministering public-sector pension plans and the Québec PensionPlan, we have used our expertise to develop a Retirement Planning Information Session (RPIS) to better assist you in preparing your retirement.

Retraite Québec shares various responsibilities with Cégep Marie-Victorin andCentre Louis-Jolliet, both respected organizations in thefield of retirement planning, in order to offer informationsessions and retirement planning tools that are accessibleto all. Presented by seasoned professionals, these sessionsare designed to help you better plan this new phase of yourlife by examining a variety of topics:

  • The transition toward retirement
  • Group insurance and benefits
  • Legal questions and various psychosocial aspects
  • The Québec Pension Plan (QPP) and the mainpublic-sector pension plans
  • Personal finances

Target clientele

The RPIS is intended for individuals in the publicservice, the education sector, and the health and socialservices sector who are members of the followingpublic-sector pension plans and plan to retire within thenext five years:

  • The Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (RREGOP)
  • The Pension Plan of Management Personnel (PPMP)
  • The Pension Plan of Peace Officers in Correctional Services (PPPOCS)
  • The Pension Plan for Federal Employees Transferredto Employment with the Gouvernement du Québec (PPFEQ)
  • The Retirement Plan for Active Members of the Centre hospitalier Côte-des-Neiges (RPCHCN)
  • The Retirement Plan for Senior Officials (RPSO)
  • The Teachers Pension Plan (TPP)
  • The Civil Service Superannuation Plan (CSSP)
  • The Pension Plan of Certain Teachers (PPCT)




Flexible schedule!

You have several options:

  • Two consecutive weekdays (during normal business hours)
  • One weeknight per week for four weeks
  • One weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Online (four half-days over one week)
  • Online (four half-days over a period of two weekends)

Cost and registration

The cost is $300 per person, which is usually paid by your employer. The authorization of your immediate supervisor is required to confirm your registration.

Spouses may also register for the same session provided they pay their own registration.
