The Destination Retraite webinars (French only) replace the Retirement Planning Information Session (RPIS)

Are you familiar with the training activities offered since 1977 to future government retirees named the Retirement Planning Information Session (RPIS)? Retraite Québec is giving it a second wind with the Destination Retraite webinars.

Description

The webinars are live, offered by experienced specialists who will answer your questions. The webinars cover all the important subjects to financially plan for your retirement and estimate your income: Québec Pension Plan, public-sector pension plans, registered retirement savings plans, phased departure, life as a couple, insurance, legally-oriented questions and much more.

For greater flexibility, webinars are offered in full-day or half-day blocks. You can register for all blocks, or sign up on an "tailor-made" basis.

Target clientele

Government employees who are members of the main public-sector pension plans in the education, public service and health and social services sectors are the clientele of the webinars. Consult the list of public-sector pension plans to see whether your plan is covered.

Are you between ages 30 and 50? You can now participate in webinars adapted to your situation. Learn more on the good financial habits you can adopt while working to reach your retirement income goals.

Are you age 50 or over and are thinking about retirement? Whether you are planning your retirement on your own or with the help of specialists, our webinars will give you the tools you need to make informed financial decisions. Your spouse may also register for the same session by paying their own registration.

Duration and subjects

The webinars are divided into blocks and it is recommended that you follow them in order:

• The mid-career webinars are presented in two blocks:
  • Block 1 (half-day): Your financial planning and retirement income
  • Block 2 (half-day): Your personal finances and legally-oriented questions
• The end-of-career webinars are presented in three blocks:
  • Block 1 (full day): Your financial planning and retirement income
  • Block 2 (half-day): Your personal finances and legally-oriented questions
  • Block 3 (half-day): Your transition toward retirement

Cost and registration

Consult the webinar calendar (French only) depending on where you are in your career to find out the cost and how to register:

• Mid-career – between ages 30 and 50
• End-of-career – age 50 or over
