The
Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting supplemental pension plans (French only) was published on 17 December 2025 in the
Gazette officielle du Québec.
Its purpose is to:
- regulate the establishment of variable payment life pension funds under a pension plan, as well as the pensions paid from such funds;
- amend certain fees payable to Retraite Québec, including fees to locate untraceable persons, which have increased from $20 to $30.
The Regulation was approved with amendments. It comes into force on 1 January 2026.
