The Gouvernement du Québec set 1 January 2026 as the date of coming into force of the provisions of Chapter II of the
Act respecting the implementation of certain provisions of the Budget Speech of 12 March 2024 and amending other provisions 
(2024, chapter 39), comprising sections 14 to 62 and concerning the variable payment life pensions. This is taken from the
Décret d'entrée en vigueur 1447-2025 (Order in Council 1447-2025, French only), published on 17 December 2025 in the
Gazette officielle du Québec.
