Regulatory amendments made to the Pension Plan of Peace Officers in Correctional Services (PPPOCS)

Changes to your pension plan official

On 14 May 2019, amendments were made to the Regulation respecting the designation of classes of employees and the determination of special provisions applicable to employees of the Institut Philippe-Pinel.

The main amendment made to the PPPOCS pertains to:

 

Classes of employees covered under the PPPOCS

Affected plan: PPPOCS

New designation of the class of employees: professional social worker

Effective date: 4 December 2018

The job title of one of the classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel covered under the PPPOCS was changed. As a result, a professional social worker is now designated as a Social worker.

Replacement of the classes of employees: intervention officer and watch duty officer

Effective date: 2 April 2019

The classes of employees "intervention officer and guard" were removed from the classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel covered under the PPPOCS. They will be replaced by Pacification and safety intervention specialist.

Replacement of the class of employees: administrative officer

Effective date: 14 May 2019

The class Administrative officer whose position would be classed "unit clerk" if the names of the employment position titles at the Institut Philippe-Pinel applying before 21 November 2006 continued to apply, was suppressed from the classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel covered under the PPPOCS. The class is now designated Unit supervising clerk.

Abolition of certain classes of employees covered under the PPPOCS

Effective date: 14 May 2019

Certain classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel covered under the PPPOCS have been abolished. The classes Educator, Community agent-supervisor and Workshop instructor were removed from the classes of employees covered.
