Payment of fees

The fees payable to Retraite Québec with regard to a supplemental pension plan subject to the Supplemental Pension Plans Act, a locked-in retirement account (LIRA), a life income fund (LIF), or a voluntary retirement savings plan (VRSP) and described in the Fee Schedule section can be paid:

• online on the website of an authorized financial institution (not available for VRSPs)
• by cheque or postal money order.

Payment by credit card is not accepted.

Online payments on the website of an authorized financial institution (not available for VRSPs)

The payer must meet the requirements of the authorized financial institution and Retraite Québec in order to make online payments within the required deadlines.

The payer must make a bill payment on the financial institution's website and specify:

• Retraite Québec – RCR as the payee (that name is on the list of organizations and companies registered as payees with the authorized financial institution).
• the reference number assigned by Retraite Québec's Direction générale des régimes complémentaires de retraite (the number is specific to each type of fees. If you do not have one, see the For more information section below).

Depending on the terms and conditions of the authorized institution, other payment methods can be used for the bill payment, provided the preconditions are met:

• at an automatic teller machine (ATM)
• in person at the counter
• by telephone (automated service).
